How Zibbo works, and how to reach us if something is wrong.

Need a hand?

Email support@teknonsys.com. Tell us your device, its iOS or macOS version and what happened. We reply as soon as we can.

Getting started

  1. Open Zibbo. You start with two players, Player 1 and Player 2, at 0.
  2. Tap anywhere on a player’s coloured section to add 1.
  3. Keep tapping to keep adding. The score settles about 2.5 seconds after your last tap.

Common questions

I tapped by mistake. How do I fix it?

Right after tapping, three small buttons appear in the section’s corner. − subtracts 1. The pencil lets you type the exact score. The cross cancels everything you just added and restores the score from before your first tap. After about 2.5 seconds the buttons disappear and the score is final, but you can always use the pencil on a new tap to set it.

How do I change player names or add players?

Tap Edit players in the toolbar. Tap a name to rename it. Tap Add player for a new one. There is no maximum number of players. Names can be up to 20 characters.

How do I remove a player?

In Edit players, swipe the player’s row left and tap Remove (on Mac and iPad with a pointer, use the right-click menu). Zibbo asks you to confirm first and shows their score. You cannot remove the last player. Removing someone never changes anyone else’s score.

How do I start a new game?

Tap Reset all scores in the toolbar. Enter the score everyone should start from (0 unless you want otherwise) and confirm. Players and colours stay as they are.

Can scores be negative?

Yes. In the score field, use the +/− button to switch the sign. Scores are limited to ±999,999.

Will the screen turn off while we play?

That is up to you. The toolbar button toggles between “Screen stays on” and “Screen may sleep”. It is off by default to save battery.

Are my scores saved if I close the app?

Yes. Players and scores are saved automatically on your device and are there when you reopen Zibbo. They are not synced between your devices. See the privacy policy.

Can I choose player colours?

Not yet. Colours are assigned automatically and chosen to be easy to tell apart, including for people with colour-blindness. Choosing colours is planned.

Does Zibbo work on iPad and Mac?

Yes. The sections resize to fill the window and rearrange as you resize or rotate.
